The Leonhard Lang company designs and manufactures precision bioelectrodes for ECG diagnosis and monitoring, stimulation, and high frequency surgery, etc.
From our global headquarters in the Austrian Alps we are building on more than a century of quality-focused production and service, whilst at the same time meeting tomorrow's challenges with advances in product design which are kept at the cutting edge of technology through user-driven research and development.
SKINTACT ECG Electrodes
Our SKINTACT electrodes consistently surpass tough industry standards of performance. SKINTACT ECG electrodes and dispersive electrodes for electrosurgery have been type tested by TUV Product Service. All SKINTACT electrodes are CE marked. The quality management system of Leonhard Lang company has been certified by TUV Austria according to ISO 9001, EN 46001 and GMP.
Today SKINTACT electrodes are used in hospitals and other health care facilities in countries spanning nearly every continent on the globe.
The SKINTACT ECG product range includes disposable electrodes for
- diagnosis (resting, stress, holter, and echo)
- patient monitoring (ICU and CCU)
- children and newborn babies
- special applications e.g. monitoring during X-ray or MR imaging
SKINTACT ECG electrodes are available with foam, microporous, soft cloth or clear tape backing.
- SKINTACT foam electrodes are impermeable to liquids. They are ideal for short and medium term monitoring and diagnosis.
- SKINTACT electrodes with microporous tape backing promote breatheability and transpiration. Their skin friendly design makes them the best choice for longterm use.
- The elastic soft cloth backing conforms excellently to body movements. Thus these types are ideal for active patients.
- SKINTACT clear tape electrodes are transparent, enabling the nurse to detect any skin reactions without removing the electrode.
The silver-silver chloride sensor, which is the heart of an electrode, is sample tested for silver thickness and purity. To ensure excellent conductivity, every single electrode is performance tested during production.
The most recent SKINTACT ECG electrodes are manufactured with Solid Adhesive Gel. These types offer a variety of advantages:
- Instant and secure skin contact. SKINTACT solid adhesive gel electrodes ensure enhanced conductivity due to the special shape of the gel.
- Minimized artifacts. The SKINTACT solid gel adheres reliably. The impact of an accidental pull on the lead is thus compensated and results in less artifacts.
- Convenient electrode shapes. The more compact shapes facilitate placement close to each other.
- More comfort to the patient. The adhesive gel leaves no residue on the skin. No more cleanup for patient and technician.
All SKINTACT ECG electrodes are stringently tested for compliance with the AAMI/ANSI standard EC 12/1991 for disposable pregelled ECG electrodes.
SKINTACT dispersive electrodes for high frequency surgery have been designed to provide optimum safety and performance:
- Outstanding conductivity ensures that the high frequency current is carried safely.
- Firm adhesion. Both hydrogel and PE foam guarantee secure adhesion to the skin.
- Stable connecting tab. Dispersive electrode cables lock reliably on the grounding plates.
- Superior biocompatibility. SKINTACT solid adhesive gel know-how ensures the use of optimum biocompatible ingredients and stringent rest monomer control.
SKINTACT dispersive electrodes are available in all common sizes and designs:
- for adults, infants and babies
- REM-or single area types
- with preattached disposable cables.
All SKINTACT dispersive electrodes for high frequency surgery are stringently tested for compliance with the AAMI/ANSI standard HF 18/1993 and EN 60601-2-2/1993. |
