Profile has now evolved one of its most successful products the Porta-neb® nebulizer compressor system to produce a lighter, more portable and cost-effective version known as the Porta-neblite.
The new Porta-neblite is offered with the Sidestream® nebulizer which can be used to nebulize all commonly prescribed bronchodilators for respiratory conditions. Aerosol drug effectiveness depends on the quality of its delivery to the lungs. Sidestream® achieves 80% of output volume below 5 micron particle size, thus maximising each dose, and produces a flow rate of 16l/min by utilising a venturi, which entrains room air. This boosts output, reduces treatment times and improves patient compliance. Unlike many other nebulizers, Sidestream® will provide consistent reproducible drug delivery making Profile’s Sidestream® nebulizer the choice for aerosol drug delivery.

The respirable output of Sidestream® is increased by more than 140% compared to the traditional nebulizer.
