Schaerer Medical AG is a worldwide leading independent developer and manufacturer of mobile operating tables, general and specific surgical accessories for all surgical disciplines. Schaerer Medical is headquartered in Muensingen, Switzerland, and employs approx. 40 employees. All products are manufactured in Switzerland and distributed through a global network in approx. 75 countries.

The mobile operating table product lines schaerer® axis 200-300, schaerer® axis 400-800 and schaerer® arcus 501-701 with Heavyweight feature provide products for all price segments.  The Schaerer mobile surgical tabels are designed for all surgical disciplines, from General-, Neuro- and Plasticsurgery, ENT, urology, gynaecology up to orthopaedics and traumatology ­ in the clinical as well as in the outpatient fields.

In close cooperation with leading surgeons and personalities of the medical sector, the products of Schaerer Medical are continuously refined. This approach has been an important part of the Schaerer brand and the company¹s culture since its foundation in 1892. Over the years Schaerer Medical has become a competent partner of the medical community. Schaerer Medical is continuously investing in new product development of mobile operating tables and accessories. In Switzerland and the USA, Schaerer Medical has a direct sales organisation. In 2010, Schaerer established a representation office in India, which coordinates the activities of the local distributors.  The customer can rely on selected and specialized service partners of Schaerer Medical in each country. Sales and service partners are regularly trained and certified by Schaerer Medical and thus are recognized as competent and reliable partners by their customers.

The Schaerer Medical products correspond to the safety requirements of the EC - guideline 93/42/EEC. The product quality is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 und ISO 13485:2003.
